Dear Diary . . .
Hi Everyone! Emergency entry here. I thought that we would have some time to get Art settled, get some money, and then go up to get Zipper. Unfortunately, the end of the month is coming very, very soon, and the folks we thought could handle Zipper can't, and they will have to take Zipper to a shelter if we can't get him by the 1st of May.
So I have a very, very big favor to ask everyone. If anyone could help Art out by loaning him some money, I can rent a car to go get Zipper. (My car is 17 years old, and goes 65 MPH at best!) Art doesn't drive, and on top of that, he found a job that starts Tuesday, and I don't want him to lose that opportunity.
I have a Dr.'s appointment on Wednesday at 9am, and then I could head out and be in SLC by Thursday morning, since as we all know, I don't have a job!
I have calculated everything, and I figure that $400 will do it. It will be tight, but I'm good at squeeking through. I will have to rent a car, then of course, there will be gas and some food on the road.
I will have to catch naps in the car, since hotel rooms are way too expensive these days. I can take food with me, I'll just stop now and then for some rest and some coffee. God willin' and the crick don't rise, I can be in SLC in time to rescue Zipper!
Any amount is helpful. Even $5.00 will get me 40 miles further down the road. I know that many of us are in similar straits, and that money is not easily found or parted with, but I can assure you that Art plans to pay back every last penny that anyone loans him. It may take a while, but he will do it!

Even if it gets here after Wednesday, Josh can deposit into my account and I can access it with my check card. As long as I have enough to rent the car and GET to SLC, I will head out, and trust to the Universe to get me home!
I thank everyone in advance, and yes, Art is well aware that he coulda/shoulda planned all of this better, but when the Dark takes hold of you, Logic kinda goes out the window!
Oh, and we are having to go up to the Library to get online, so we have VERY limited access. We will be checking our e-mails later this afternoon, and then again in the morning.
